Miss Ninja for Netflix Avatar: The Last Airbender Premiere

Prism DJs had the honor of booking the music talent for the highly anticipated premiere of Netflix's live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. DJ Miss Ninja, renowned for her vibrant performances and eclectic music selection, took the stage at both the red carpet pre-screening event at the Egyptian Theater and the afterparty at Tao in Hollywood.

The star-studded event was graced by notable celebrities, the entire cast, and production members, including Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, and many more prominent figures from the API and South Asian entertainment industries.

The musical ambiance for the evening featured a blend of Top 40 hits & Remixes, K-Pop, and a sprinkle of current Hip Hop, creating a lively atmosphere for the attendees. A special moment during the night was when the cast members requested Soulja Boy's "Kiss Me Through the Phone," which elicited an enthusiastic response from the crowd. DJ Miss Ninja also delighted guests with tracks from BlackPink & Jung Kook, adding to the energetic vibe of the celebration.

Reflecting on the event, DJ Miss Ninja shared, “The best part of this event was all the super fans of the original Airbender that came out to support, some in full costume! For me, it was super special to show appreciation for the predominantly API cast by playing K-Pop during the afterparty celebration. As a huge fan of the animated series, this whole experience was super special.”

The premiere party was not just a celebration of the new series but also a tribute to the dedicated fan base and the cultural significance of Avatar: The Last Airbender. With DJ Miss Ninja at the helm, the event was a resounding success, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in the beloved franchise.
