Named after renowned singer Dionne Warwick, DJ Garcelle du Bois was powerfully influenced by music as a child. “When I was growing up, my mom would always play records, especially old school, classic soul and funk,” she remembers. “My dad was into more worldly music and that definitely contributed to my love for reggae, downtempo, electronic & house.” Living all over the United States coupled with travel throughout Europe, Japan & the Caribbean exposed her to many different genres of music and helped to forge her unique, eclectic musical sound.
